SOMAIA Holiday Farm is set in the Upper Valley of the river Tiber, halfway between Umbria and Tuscany regions, nearby cultural towns such as Città di Castello, Anghiari and Sansepolcro. Our holiday farm is in a perfect location for day-trips, since the following are within easy reach: charming medieval towns, villages and castles, beautiful holy places marked by the passage of Saint Francis, as well as pleasant mountain resorts, hot-springs or health Spa areas.
Somaia Holiday Farm is set in the middle of a nature and hunting reserve of over 1,600 acres, thus is ideal vacation destination for nature-lovers and wildlife lovers, where guests can easily spot wild species such as deer, boars, hares or pheasants.
Fans of hiking, trekking and cycling will also be fully satisfied by their stay at Somaia: our Holiday Farm is located near trails and paths charted by the Italian Alpine Club. We are also one of the Bed & Breakfast recognized as official shelter on the Way of Saint Francis, a walking trail and pilgrimage route inspired by the life of St Francis of Assisi. Numerous cycling routes are also within easy reach, suitable for all cyclist levels, from smooth slopes to hilltops over 1,000 m high.
The two old farmhouses have been converted into 7 double rooms and 4 apartments for a total of 25 beds. Rooms with Italian rustic style decor are very spacious, surrounded by a quiet and relaxing environment where sounds and smells come from nature. The hillside location of the farm (500 m above sea level) presents guests with a magnificent view of the surrounding valley, in an inviting mild and breezy weather.
Prices include: breakfast, checkin and checkout cleaning, utilities (electricity, gas, hot water), linen change, use of laundry.
Heating costs are not included, amounting to €1.5 for each hour of usage.
